I am an active Master Mason at Hilton Lodge #1175 A.F. & A.M. located in East Peoria, IL. [ Map ]

I enjoy taking part in our philanthropy efforts, such as bell-ringing for the Salvation Army [ Link ] during the winter holiday season.

I also created, manage and maintain, and host the lodge's website. [ Link ]

We have a lot of fun up at the Masonic Lodge. This weekend we're having a huge golf outing up at Sunset Hills Golf Club in Pekin, IL. [ Link ]

A lot of people think of Freemasonry as a dark, secretive organization. That's not the case at all. Only our meetings are private. Almost every event that we participate in is open to the public, and most of the time there is more public participants than actual Masons! We don't have human sacrifices, we're not a religion (or a replacement for religion), we're not running the world (although, a few of ex-presidents were Masons), and we don't have sexual relations with barnyard animals. We do, however, put on events to raise money. Most of the money gets donated to very notable charitable organizations, such as the Children's Hospital. We, as Freemasons collectively across Illinois, also run TWO children's homes, as well as a retirement community which does not cost a dime (and that's also open to the public). [ Link ] [ Link ]

Our entire belief system is founded on philantropy and service for the greater of the community.
